THIS IS NOT RETRO SAYS…
Following hard on the heels of last year’s acclaimed shows which saw Toyah tour a set built around her classic album ‘Anthem’, she’s now back on the road to do the same for her 1982 follow-up ‘The Changeling’.
In Brighton, drawing heavily on the set featured on Toyah’s ‘Warrior Rock’ live album from the same year, the show draws from some of Toyah’s best material, presented in great style in front of an appreciative audience. And it’s not just the music that is being re-presented for 2012, some of Toyah’s iconic costumes from that period are also given a new lease of life to impressive effect.

Not only does Toyah look fantastic but she’s in fine voice too, confidently romping through a setlist of classic material with obvious glee and enjoyment. For the casual fan all the hits are there – including the plaintive ‘Brave New World’ which she hasn’t performed live for some time – but for her core fanbase this is truly a feast with tracks like ‘Voodoo Doll’, ‘The Packt’ and ‘Angel & Me’ on the menu… a fabulous night out, we couldn’t recommend it more!
