Last year’s collaboration between John Foxx and The Maths (synth whizz-kid Benge), ‘Interplay’, was one of our favourite albums of 2011 and ‘The Shape of Things’ is already shaping up to do the same for 2012. Not quite ‘Interplay’ part two, this new album is broader in scope and darker in execution and draws from all stages of Foxx’s career, from the atmospheric moods of ‘Cathedral Oceans’ to the electronica of ‘Crash & Burn’. Great stuff!
