HEAVEN 17‘s GLENN GREGORY and ULTRAVOX‘s MIDGE URE have both recorded tracks in collaboration with musician and composer STEPHEN EMMER (who has recorded, written for, and performed with artists including THE LOTUS EATERS, CLAUDIA BRÜCKEN and LOU REED). The first single, ‘Untouchable’ is a tribute to the late BILLY MACKENZIE written by Emmer with lyrics and vocals from Glenn Gregory which will be released on April 7th.
An album ‘International Blue’ mixed and produced by TONY VISCONTI will follow the single and will feature a collective of artists – including MIDGE URE, Liam McKahey of Cousteau, and Neil Crossley of Furlined – collaborating to ‘re-create the epic pop-crooner days of Scott Walker and Burt Baccarach but with a modern twist’.
