DAVE WAKELING’s THE ENGLISH BEAT have announced a run of UK shows in March. The band – not to be confused with Wakeling’s former bandmate RANKING ROGER’s THE BEAT – will play seven UK shows, including an appearance at Great Yarmouth’s Skamouth festival.
Dave Wakeling has also announced that Specialized, the charity that he is ambassador for in the US, will be releasing an all-star 2-TONE project to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The release will see members of THE SPECIALS, THE SELECTER, BAD MANNERS, THE BODY SNATCHERS and THE BELLE STARS record a version of the MADNESS classic ‘Our House’ for the ‘Specalized 3 – Mad Not Cancer’ compilation.
