Cherry Red will release a 5-CD boxset entitled ‘Scared To Get Happy (A Story Of Indie Pop 1980-1989) on June 24th, featuring 134 tracks from the cream of the 80s indie scene including AZTEC CAMERA, THE SHAMEN, THE PRIMITIVES, PREFAB SPROUT, THE DARLING BUDS, PRIMAL SCREAM and DEL AMITRI. A few tracks (including songs from STRAWBERRY SWITCHBLADE and THE BLUEBELLS) have never officially been released before, while many other tracks are available on CD for the first time as part of this collections.
