THIS IS NOT RETRO SAYS…
I’ve seen Erasure many times before, and I was lucky enough to catch several shows on this tour so I may be slightly biased when I say that I think this tour ranks among the best the band has ever done.
Any fears as to how well the songs from the duo’s latest album ‘Tomorrow’s World’ would come across live without the electronic effects and jiggery-pokery provided on the record by producer Frankmusik were completely unfounded, and if anything the new songs sounded even better given the room to breathe and expand that a live show provides.
Against the backdrop of a ruined city, complete with gargoyles and gothic windows, Andy Bell was in great voice at every single show I saw, a bundle of irrepressible energy at all times, while Vince Clarke seemed relaxed and comfortable behind his keyboard stand.

Exceptional stuff, but as I say, I may be slightly biased!
